Today I start off with another Group Of Seven painting, A.Y. Jackson's Winter, Quebec, from 1926.
Stepping away from the Group, I photographed other works of the period. This is Portrait Of Ethel Southam (Mrs. F.H. Toller), a 1938 painting by Lilias Torrance Newton.
Prudence Heward painted Girl On A Hill in 1928.
She also painted this one, titled Girl In Yellow Sweater, in 1936.
For today I finish off with a contemporary of the Group of Seven who had a long artistic career and a fascination with the First Nations of the Pacific Northwest. Emily Carr painted this one, British Columbia Landscape, in 1934.
