The Goofballs are on holidays and it has been BLISS.
No uniforms to find, wash/fumigate,dry and iron.
No lunchboxes to find, wash/fumigate and fill.
I didn't get out of bed until 9am this morning.
Yay me!
I've even had time to tidy my desk and move some things around a wee bit.
This is my new command central.
Stationery, school files, recipe books, menu planners.
The white basket on the floor is for our library books.
I love to sit here with everything so close and be able to look out the window and people watch.
Also handy to see if I've had any escapee's from the backyard.
This is one of the first things you see when you walk in our front door.
It cheers me.
I love its nautical aspirations.
These sea shells were collected on Palm Beach and Snapperman's Beach by Missy Moo.
It was a particularly special day for absolutely no reason at all.
Just one of those magical days when you are just bonding beautifully with your child and you can literally stand still and count your blessings up to 1,000.
That's why I love to have it as one of the first things I see when I come home.
This is at the top of the stairs that lead down to the kids bunk room.
It holds some of our favourite stories, easy for me to grab on my way down to tuck them in.
That's my new print from Ikea in the black frame.
It's a visual delight for sleepy heads on their way to bed.

Parenting disaster! How on earth am I going to parent with no sinister or menacing voice to assist?
