The New York 23rd district race is not a referendum on the Obama administration.

This is a district that has voted Republican literally since the administration of Ulysses Frakking Grant. Saying that the victory of a conservative there is a message against the President is like saying that the existence of sushi restaurants is a message against Abe Vigoda.
